Our Journey

Our Journey

It needs to Begin Somewhere

Let’s journey back in time, during the 80’s and 90’s before edge banding became a common and widely adopted concept, people relied on painting the edges for a finish or used wooden beadings to finish and protect the raw edges of a furniture. No matter what laminate was laid on the top, sides were covered with wooden strips called ‘Margins’ which were polished or painted and rarely ever matched. As per market research, in India, 50% are still using wooden strips while the rest have gotten smarter and use edge bands.

Necessity is the Mother of inventions

An amazing fact to consider, all Europeans and Americans use only edgebands and the new generations are not even aware of the once used wooden beading for the protection of furniture. However, in India, it is the fastest growing product of our industry for the past decade.
